Stephanie Marie Byars

Stephanie Montello Byars, born on April 17, 1960 in Brooklyn, New York to Stephen and Caroline Montello and grew up in Houston, Texas. She passed away on Monday, October 17 2022, after bravely fighting Huntington’s disease for so many years. Thankfully, she is now liberated from this horrible disease and rests in peace with our Lord and loved ones. 

Stephanie loved her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren, music, good food and spending time with family and friends. She was beautiful, full of life and lit up a room when she walked in. Stephanie was generous, courageous and kind. Her siblings, who adored her, called her “The Princess” because she acted like one!

She is survived by her sister Phyllis Montello, brothers Anthony Montello and John Montello, daughters Jaclyn Sanford and Alexandra Paine, son-in-law Ross Paine, granddaughter Lexus Sanford, and grandson Reece Paine.

Stephanie will be missed and remembered always, and her legacy will live on through her children and their families forever. 

A private family service will be held at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral home on Saturday, November 19. There will be a Celebration of Life party for all family and friends on Sunday November 20 at Concert Pub North – Houston starting at 1pm.
