Joske's of San Antonio hired this young college graduate as a buyer in the lingerie department.
After Joske's, Shirley moved to Minneapolis, MN as a buyer for Donaldson's Department Store where she met her wonderful husband Hank. While in MN, Shirley received her Masters Degree in Education from the University of MN and began teaching at Shakopee High School. Life then brought Shirley and Hank back to San Antonio where she taught business at MacArthur High School. She retired in 1992 to travel and help others through her volunteer work with VIP Club, SCORE, and ACCOG.
Shirley loved swimming at the club and ballroom dancing. Her favorite traveling memory was taking cruises that included ballroom dancing. She could converse with anyone on almost any topic. She will be missed, but not forgotten.
