Richard Lee Hogan

Richard (Ric) Hogan a 27 year resident of New Braunfels, TX left his mortal body to live with Jesus on 18 Sept. 2023. 

He was born in Indianapolis, IN Apr. 29, 1952 into a family of hard working, well educated Irish Catholics.  Most all the men and many of the women in his family served in the military during every conflict from WWI to Desert Storm.  RIC himself was drafted into the Army in 1969 to serve during the Vietnam war.  He had a total of six years active duty service including secret special operations during the cold war.  After honorable discharge he continued  civil service for over 20 years. 

The highlight of which was presidential appointments at the pentagon for the Reagan, H.W. Bush, Clinton and G.W.Bush administrations.  Ric's additional skills included sports car photography; particularly as freelance for Motor Trend and German sports car publications.  He enjoyed golf, fishing, shooting sports, football and wrestling.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years, his mother, 3 younger brothers and their wives, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In lieu of formal services a rememberence gathering (wake) is planned on a date yet undecided.
