It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the death of our precious daughter Melanie Monique Cortez on April 3, 2021.Melanie was born June 18, 1993 to Brenda Cruz & Robert Cortex Jr in Austin, TX.

She leaves a huge hole in the hearts of our family and friends. She truly brought the life to the party. She was a great mother to her only child, Augustine Jaiden Cortez.

Melanie was loved by everyone who ever met her; A fantastic daughter, mother, sister, cousin granddaughter and a friend to many people. No matter the circumstances Melanie always had your back and end up with a funny story to tell.

Melanie is survived by her son Augustine Cortez who she loved deeply. She is survived by her mother Brenda Cruz and father Robert Cortez Jr, sisters Breanna Cortez & Lindsey Cortez along with nieces and nephews, grandparents and many cousins.
