Louis Anthony Granato, Jr., 63, of San Marcos, passed away at home on March 26, 2016, after a brief battle with cancer. Louis was born in San Antonio, TX, on January 17, 1953. He graduated high school in San Antonio and attended Texas Tech University. Louis was employed by HEB for over twenty years. He married his wife of almost 37 years, Sarah Jane Wren, on August 12, 1979. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Louis A Granato, Sr. and Barbara Granato Haywood; and by his stepson, Wendell Wren. He is survived by his wife, Sarah; his sister, Ginger Freimarck; nephew, Tony Granato; and stepson, Randolph Allen Wren. Louis was a quiet and reserved man who was interested in electronics and anything having to do with technology. He dearly loved his cats, Mickey, Bobo, Pookie, and Buddy. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, which meets in the UCM-Wesley building at 510 N. Guadalupe St. in San Marcos. SMUUF minister, Scottie McIntyre Johnson, will officiate.
