John Vela Ybarra

John Vela (Big John) Ybarra 84, of Kyle Texas, was called home to our Lord, peacefully in his sleep after a lengthy illness, on Saturday February 4, 2023. Big John was born on March 28, 1938, to Fermin and Antonia Ybarra in Kyle, Texas.

Big John is preceded in death by; his parents; Siblings Martina, Fermin Jr., Stan, Maggie and Roy and stepson Noel David

He is survived by his sons John (wife Gracie), Richard (wife Norma), Robert (wife Teri), Joaquin (wife Hope), sisters Carolina and Mary. Big John had 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Big John loved music, dancing, watching the Dallas Cowboys and western movies. Big John was . the center of attention at family gatherings because of his kind nature and was always glad to see you. He always said the biggest blessing God gave me was life and always sent you off with his blessing. Big John will be greatly missed, and we thank God for blessing us with a beautiful loving Father, son and brother.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Legends Funeral Home, a visual service will be held at the Legends Funeral Home on Monday February 13, 2023 from 12 p.m. - 4 p.m.. The Vigil and the Recitment of the Holy Rosary will begin at 2:00 p.m.
