John Kaehler Obituary


John Anthony Kaehler, 73 passed away November 3, 2020 due to complications 
of a brain bleed and blood infection.  John  was born July 2, 1947 in Dayton, Ohio 
to the late William Francis Kaehler and Sylvia Lorraine Croft Kaehler. 
Godparents, Cedric and Mima Moschel of  Wawasee  Lake and North Webster, Indiana.
He was  also preceded in death by his Brother William Kaehler, and 
Sister-In Law, Pamela Regan and Father-In Law, John Regan. 

He is survived by his loving wife Patricia (Regan) Kaehler; 
Children - Daughter:  Angellett Kaehler Cook and husband Matt Cook, 
Son: John Kaehler and   Daughter: Emily Kaehler. 
His Sister, Rosie Kaehler Dempsey and husband Dave Dempsey 
and Sister, Suzie Kaehler Robertson and husband Jon Robertson; 
and Brother, Steve Kaehler Cornell and wife Pat Cornell. 
His neices and nephews, Billy Kaehler, Aaron Kaehler, 
David Phipps, Denise Wells, Brian Wells, Alex Cornell, 
Megan Lambert, Krista Griffin and Blakely Griffin.  
Grandchildren: John Michael Kaehler Jr.  and James Jordan. 
Sister-In Law, Teresa and Richard Lambert. 
Also survived by best friend Ed Bucnis and Patti Green.
 
John was a very proud and active member of many organizations and groups. 
Faithful member of St. Helen's Catholic Church (Burkhardt Rd, Dayton, Ohio). 
Secular Franciscan Order in both Dayton, Ohio and San Antonio, Texas. 
Leader of son John's Boy Scout Troop, and daughter Emily's Girl Scout Troop. 
Member or the Moose Lodge 73 of Beavercreek, Ohio, 
Fraternal order of Eagle's 1190 of Beavercreek, Ohio, 
V.F.W 8312 of Beavercreek, Ohio 
and life member of V.F.W  post 4676 of Universal City, Texas. 
Silver Serenadors Choir member of Schertz, Texas. 
Knights of Columbus Good Shepherd Council 6358 of Schertz, Texas 
where he was a 4th Degree Member: Sir Knight John Anthony Kaehler. 
Member of the Schertz, Texas Senior Center and he would go to several of the 
local Senior Homes to distribute Eucharist.  
Also he would distribute Eucharist at the Widow's Home in Dayton, Ohio.

John was a Vietnam Veteran with the United States Army from 1969-1971 as an Engineer. 
At time of death, he was a 100%  disabled Agent Orange Vietnam Veteran. 
Retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base as a Civilian Electrician between 1971-2004. 
Attended Sinclair Community College. He enjoyed his time there and got high honors in his classes. 
Second career John  retired from Lowe's in Beavercreek, Ohio 2006-2016. 
John was also a licensed Realtor in Beavercreek, Ohio for Century 21 Research Park Realty, 
Spectrum Realty, and Big Hill Realty. 
In 2017, John and wife Patricia moved to San Antonio, Texas to care for Patricia's mother Alvina Pomroy 
who is suffering from stage 4 Cancer. That is where John was living when he passed away.    
His family is glad that he is no longer in pain and he will be greatly missed by many. 
John was cremated per his request. No flowers or donations.  Love Each Other While You Can...
