James Williams Obituary

Buda - James Marvin Williams “Bill”, 85, died on December 5, 2021 in Buda, Texas. He was born on June 18, 1936 in Statesville, North Carolina to James Calvin Williams and Bertie Bagby Williams.

Bill was a career military service member in the United States Air Force. He served from high school in 1955 until retired as a Master Sergeant in 1975. During his career he traveled often, including three tours served in Vietnam.

He and wife Annie retired to the Austin area in 1976, and they celebrated their 47th wedding anniversary this year in their home in Buda. He enjoyed playing golf, and being with his many friends that he met over the years at the Buda senior center.

Bill is survived by his wife, Annie Mae Williams, son Dennis Williams of Carrollton, daughter Lori Parsons of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, son Steven Clemmer and wife Susan of Plano, plus eleven grandchildren, and many great- grandchildren.

A military memorial service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd., San Antonio, on December 30, 2021 at 11:15 am, Shelter Two.
