Georgie Mae Howard

Georgie Mae Howard of Somerset Texas, loving Mother of four children, seven grandchildren and a handful of great grandchildren and great great child entered into God's Kingdom  on July 10th, 2021 in San Antonio, Texas at the age of 82.

She was born in Simmons, Texas on March 8th 1939, the daughter of Alva Curtis Galloway and Mary Beatrice Grantland, both deceased. She was one of eight children and is survived by the youngest brother Wiley Galloway and baby sister and best friend, Lois Wright. She spent more than 35 years working Civil Service at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas where she began driving a tug while pregnant with her second daughter and retired working as an airplane engine inspector.  She married her first husband John Tolivar Williams with whom she had her first three children Troy, Kim and Stacy, and married once again to James M. Howard and had their last child, James Wesley Howard. She was known for being a kind, giving, loving, forgiving child of God who never met a stranger, she saw everyone that crossed her path as one of God's Children. She took great personal pride in the supporting role she played with her husband Jim Howard raising funds and providing meals for multiple non-profit organizations through trailride benefits.  Her family knew her as a mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and Aunt with an ear for listening, finding the best in any situation and making all your problems go away. She leaves this world making us all better for knowing her. She enjoyed the simple things in life like having friends and family over, cooking with the family and the early Saturday morning garage sale hunting.

She was preceded in death by her first husband John T. Williams, second husband James M. Howard, her brother Marion William Galloway aka Sonny, her beautiful sisters Mary Alva Galloway Bromley, Delia Martha Galloway Drutar, Maggie Ora Galloway Webb, Mamie Claudia Galloway Mayfield and is survived by her brother Wiley La fette Galloway and sister Deloris Catherine Galloway Wright, her children Troy Lee Williams, Kimberly Williams-Howard, Stacy Marie Williams Kotara, James Wesley Howard aka Boo, Grandchildren Jason Williams, Randal Marie Williams, Joseph Brandon Williams, Chandler Bree Faulkner-Briseno, Ashley Mae Williams, Kristy Kim Williams, and John Wesley Giddens also many wonderful beautiful great grandchildren and a great great child. 

Celebration of  Life will be held July 18th @ DOVE HEAVEN 20260 I-H 35 South, Lytle Texas 2pm -5pm
