Gail Jira Dunn

Gail Jira Spatz Dunn, 71, of Wimberley, Texas passed away suddenly in San Marcos on May 21, 2023.
Gail was born on January 11, 1952, in Parma Ohio to Joseph and Helen Jira.
Gail graduated high school from Nazareth Academy in Parma Heights, Ohio in 1970, and then studied
nursing at Sinclair Community College in Dayton.
Gail was a registered nurse who loved her job. She started her nursing career in Ohio before moving to
Wimberley, Texas in 1993, where she had been a resident until her death. Gail loved people and
enjoyed spending time on her property with friends, family and her many pets, especially dogs. Gail
loved music and had a beautiful singing voice.
Gail is survived by her daughter, Nichole Brauchle and husband, Jon, of Pleasanton; son, Karl Spatz of
Wimberley; brothers Lee Jira of Sagamore Hills, Ohio, Gerald Jira and wife, Bernie of Northfield Center,
Ohio and Joel Jira and wife, Debbie, of Sagamore Hills, Ohio; sister-in-law Doris Jira of Ohio; grandson,
Miles Brauchle of Pleasanton and many extended family and friends.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Helen Jira and her brother, Wayne Jira.
A memorial service will be scheduled in the Cleveland, Ohio area at a later date.
