Elizabeth Johnson

Elizabeth Ann Johnson (Libby) She ascended into the arms of Jesus, and her loved ones (before her) on September 10, 2023.

She was loved by her husband,children, grandchildren,great grandchildren,and many cousins. She grew up in Austin on Bonnie Road, where she was raised by her grandparents and many aunts and uncles. She was especially loved by Daddy-boy, whom she adored as well. She was a graduate of Austin High School, where she met her (future) husband Henry “Sonny.” They started their lives together in U.T. student housing, followed by having their four children: Terry, Michael, Jeff, and Laurie.

She became interested in art, and enjoyed taking art classes at SAC in San Antonio. She then began her healing journey into Alanon, where she made many friends. She loved the program; She and dad eventually helped start PDAP in Austin. She was an active member of St. David’s Episcopal Church. She then got training to become a substance abuse counselor, and was part of a practice called Austin Family Connections. She loved working with families; it was the highlight of her life.

Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband Henry, and son Michael. Her children and many grandchildren will miss their grandma and “Mimi.” We hope that you’re dancing again!

A private Graveside service will be held for immediate family.
