Donna Webb Obituary

Donna Noel Higgins was born in Dallas, Texas on November 18, 1943, to Naomi Noeldean Higgins. Donna was lovingly raised by her mom and stepdad, JC Manry. Donna was the oldest of her seven siblings.

Donna and John met at a church picnic which she was attending with her then boyfriend; said boyfriend did not like the fact that Donna and John were engaging in conversation, got mad and walked off – and the rest is history! After dating for about 6 months, Donna married the love of her life Johnny Webb on June 15, 1960, and they just celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary.

Donna was the manager of the Brazier Dairy Queen on Bissonnet in Houston Texas for several years. John and the kids Richard Noel and Jewel Adelle often helped out. After leaving Dairy Queen, Donna worked as a homemaker until she began working at South Shaver Baptist Church as their church secretary as well as Sunday School Teacher. She was church secretary for South Shaver Baptist Church from until its final year of 2007.

Donna loved to shop at Macy’s and could always find a great deal. Donna always new how to, and did, “dress for success.”  She loved the times she was able to spend time with her family and friends going to see movies, “Cabin” camping and more! She loved telling elephant jokes and could go on and on with them, one right after the other. Donna also loved going on cruises with the love of her life of which she called “My John.”

Donna is preceded in death by her younger brothers: Randy Manry, Jerry Manry, Dennis Manry, James Manry, as well as her younger sister Barbara June Manry. She lost her mother Naomi Manry in 1997 and stepfather JC Manry in 2001.

Donna is survived by her husband Johnny (John) Webb, son Richard Noel Webb, wife Lyvia Ruth Webb, grandson Jose Richard Noel (Chach) Webb and his wife Cristal, grandson Marcos Antonio Webb and great-granddaughter Zoe Webb. Jewel Adelle Cyr and Orlando Quintanilla, grandsons Cody Cyr and Tyler Cyr, granddaughter Megan Quintanilla, brother Donald Reed Manry and Cindy and their son Brian and daughter Tina. Sister Roxie Simond and husband, Travis and son’s TJ and Aaron; nephew Christopher Garner and wife, Elizabeth and daughters Lena and Scarlett. Niece Misty and husband Brian Baker, and son’s Daniel and JC. Niece Christina and husband Daniel Rivera and daughters Brianna and Julianna.

She always told everyone that she wanted to make sure that she went to heaven before “her John,” so she could get started on all those questions that she had ready to ask the Lord, and man that was a lengthy list for sure! So, if you have questions when you get to heaven, be prepared to wait a while as Donna will not have all her questions asked quite yet.

Donna will be missed by all of us for several reasons such as her bubbly laughter, her patience with school students (which she always managed with much grace), and of course her famous banana pudding, and so much more!

Donna Noel Higgins Webb spent nearly 80 years here on earth being a daughter, sister, wife, mother, sister-in-law, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a true friend to all that were fortunate enough to come across her path.  She will be greatly missed but never forgotten!
