Cynthia Rowe Obituary

Cynthia Lee Rowe of Austin, Texas died in hospice at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital - San Marcos, Texas at 2:59 pm, May 5, 2023.
Cynthia is preceded in death by her son, Jasenn McNair. Cynthia is survived by her parents Glenn and Beverly Rowe; her siblings William Jeffery Rowe (Joyce Ireland), Daniel Glenn Rowe (Alicia Diehl), and Beryl Frances Rowe (Dean Orlando); her daughter-in-law Ann McNair; and the next generation: Tegue McNair, Morgan McNair, Tori Height, Axel Rowe, and Nalani Rowe.
Cynthia was born in 1953 to Beverly and Glenn Rowe in Portland, Oregon. She graduated from Madison County High School in Gurley, Alabama. After graduation she joined the Air Force. She then attended the University of Texas at Austin and worked at the State of Texas and Internal Revenue Service in Austin, Texas until her retirement. 
Cynthia loved all animals and especially exotic birds. Her most beloved pet was her cockatoo Percy. For years, she helped moderate a web site celebrating exotic birds.
The family would like to extend our deep appreciation to Hays Nursing and Rehabilitation of San Marcos, Texas for their care of Cynthia in the last few years, especially CNA Matt who took extra good care of “Mama Rowe.”
In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to The Gabriel Foundation, 39520 County Road 13, Elizabeth, Colorado 80107, thegabrielfoundation.org. The Gabriel Foundation is a national parrot welfare organization dedicated to adoption, rescue, education, and responsible care of parrots.
