Charles Schondar “Sandy” Arendsen
Was born on April 12,1954 in Wichita Falls,TX. He passed on from this life on April 23,2021 at the age of 67 in Kyle,TX.
Sandy was preceded in death by his father John A. Arendsen, mother Ruby Brown, stepfather Charlie Brown, father-in-law George Culpepper, sister-in-law Carrie Coffman, nephews Greg and Rocky McDonald.
Sandy is survived by his wife of 20 years Lori Arendsen , mother-in-law Jean Culpepper, son Chris Arendsen and girlfriend Sherrie, daughter Shannon Arendsen, son Kevin Woodall and wife Tina , son John Woodall, daughter Madeline Allen and husband Chris, daughter Liz Bertrand and husband Robby, brother Punch McDonald and wife Sue, sister Sally Crumley and husband Johnny, sister Georgianne Johnson and husband Dan, sister Scharlene Brown.
Grandchildren Justin Arendsen, Garrett Arendsen, Jacob Arendsen, Mathew Arendsen, Garrett Woodall, Nevada Woodall, Lindsey Allen, Blake Bertrand, Kylie Woodall, Noah Woodall , 3 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews
Sandy graduated from West Monroe High School in Monroe, Louisiana. He joined the Navy in 1971 as a Hull Technician Fireman. He was honorably discharged in 1972.
Later in Sandy’s life he went back to school and graduated from Austin Community College in 2004 as a Certified Welding Inspector. Due to his work Sandy and Lori traveled all over the US.
Sandy’s Memorial Service will be held on April 27,2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Legends Funeral Homes chapel 101-B Centerpoint RD San Marcos,TX 78666
Chaplain Thomas Temperti will officiate the service.
