Chad Hendrix, born in Longview, Texas, departed from this life on February 12, 2023, in Austin, Texas. Crossing the Rainbow Bridge to meet his best friend, Mikey - our Mini Australian Shepherd, "never to be parted again." Chad was 59 years old.
Chad graduated from Lufkin High School in 1981; and from Stephen F. Austin University in 1996.
Chad’s greatest joy and accomplishment was being a father. He loved spending time grilling and watching football with his family. He was the biggest Dallas Cowboys fan!
Chad was a one-of-a-kind husband, father, son, uncle, friend, and neighbor. We’ll love and miss him until we reunite one day.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Rocío Hendrix, daughter Victoria, sons Nathan and Calvin, daughter-in-law, Madi, all of Austin, mother Billie Hendrix of Lufkin, sister-in-law, Consuelo (Nena) Alvarez, his beloved nieces, Anel, Keyla, and Regina; his CowboysZone and CowboysOwn brothers and sisters, his honorary brother Mike Burke, and other relatives and friends, both domestically and abroad.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Herman L. Hendrix; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. O.L. Hendrix, and Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Altom.
