Bruce Blackwell

"Bruce Blackwell, 68 of Cuero, Texas passed away peacefully at home on September 23rd 2021. Bruce was born June 8th 1953 to Oscar Blackwell Jr. and Beatrice Coleman Hohneke, both of whom preceded him in death. His siblings Marie and Lawrence, and stepfather Lang Proutt also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 23 years Candice Taylor-Mensah (Blackwell), his brother Richard Blackwell and his wife Cecelia, his children Sherece Blackwell-Godsey and her husband Eric, Felicia Clay (Blackwell), Benjamin Blackwell and his wife JoAnna, Sedalia Brown (Blackwell) and her husband Jessie, and stepson Christopher Mensah. Bruce leaves behind multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, niece and nephews, cousins, and friends & family who loved him dearly.
Family members will be celebrating his life in an intimate private ceremony. To honor Bruce's memory we will be having a service at Pennington funeral home in San Marcos, Texas. Family & friends are asked to join us at 1pm to share memories of love and joy for Mr. Bruce Blackwell. Masks are required to attend service and will be available.
