He was born in Whitesboro, TX and passed away in San Marcos, TX. He graduated from Edna High School in Edna, TX in 1962. He excelled in football and baseball. He loved Jesus and gospel, country, blues, and jazz music. He was very gifted in music and played many music instruments.

Loving husband, father, and paw paw. He is survived by his wife Janet Hooker, Daughter Roxie (Michael) Terhune of San Marcos, TX, Daughter Crystal Felice of Victoria, TX, Son Kevin Hooker of Astoria, NY, Daughter Kristen Hooker of San Marcos, TX, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren, with one on the way. Sister Barbara (Ron) Briney, Sister Brenda (Richard) Gerstle, Brother Don (Sharon) Hooker, Linda Hooker Goodwin (Chuck), Brother in law Kelly McGee, Sister in law Sarah McGee of Spring, TX, many nieces and nephews.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, his brother Marshall Hooker, and his four aunts that were so dear to him.

As per his request, there will no services. Only a memorial for his wife, his children, and grandchildren at a later date.
