New Braunfels, TX- Teacher and Coach Barry L. Brinkley’s love and laughter didn’t end when he

went peacefully to be with the Lord on May 24, 2022.

Football was a life-long passion for him. In high school, he was all district six times, three on

offense and three on defense, and second team all-state. He furthered his career playing at

Texas Lutheran College. His chosen vocation spanned four decades that included Carrizo

Springs High School, Laredo LBJ High School and Kyle Lehman High School.

Tara DeVilbiss, “Brother” Daniel Brinkley, “Sister” Dee Brinkley, “Sister -in-law” Lilia L.

Herron and “Brother-in-law” Roy Herron and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews,

cousins, friends, colleagues and others for whom he cared.
