Audley D. Gaston Jr.

           Audley D. Gaston Jr. passed away peacefully at home in San Marcos, Texas, in the early hours of Friday, February 4th, at the age of 90 years old. Known to friends and family as Sandy, he was born in 1931 to father Audley Sr. and mother Sarah Ellen of Baytown TX. He was predeceased by his parents and older sisters, Mary and Judy. He is survived by his wife Gayle, daughter Michele and son-in-law Ethan, and will be fondly remembered by countless extended family, friends, and colleagues.

           During the Korean War Sandy served in the US Army in Germany until completion of his service. Upon his return, he enrolled at the University of Texas in Austin and pursued Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Mathematics, eventually earning a Doctorate in Psychoacoustics. His profound curiosity led him to pursue many hobbies and fueled an enduring interest in politics. His greatest legacy, however, is his deep love for Gayle and Michele and his pride in their accomplishments. He is much loved and greatly missed.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life on Saturday March 12, in San Marcos at the Price Center, from 2 to 4 pm.
