Amada “Maya” Gaitan Molina passed away peacefully on March 25, 2024, in San Marcos, Texas, at the age of 82. She was born on August 7, 1941, in Charlotte, Texas.
Maya will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 45 years, George Molina, her siblings, Rosie Gaitan and Betty Gaitan Padilla, brother-n-law Anthony Padilla, sister-n-law Maryann Gaitan and Annette Gaitan, devoted children, Roberto Garza and Steve Garza, daughter-n-law Mary Garza and Georgia Garza, son-n-law Joe Ovalle, numerous cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is now reunited in heaven with her parents, Roberto and Josephine Gaitan, her siblings Robert Gaitan, Natalie Gaitan and Rudy Gaitan, son Pedro Garza, daughter Diana Ovalle and daughter-n-law Gloria Garza.
Maya touched the lives of many with her kindness and generosity and will be greatly missed by all.
A graveside service to honor Maya's life will be held at San Marcos City Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. on April 12, 2024. Legends Funeral Home in San Marcos, Texas, is assisting the family with the arrangements during this difficult time.
Maya's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. May she rest in peace.
