Was born in Taylor,Texas to parents Monte Ray Shely & Bettye Hensley Shely,who have
preceded him in death.
He was known as a character to everyone who ever meet him.He spent the latter part of his life
with Patricia Ramey by his side.She also preceded him in death.He meet his best & longtime
friend Kyle Rathburn through “Pat”.He was always there to help him,even though he was very
stubborn & wanted to do everything by himself.He was taken to be with Jesus after battling lung
cancer.He left a sister,Monica Jo Shely,a half brother Michael
Jones,daughter Melanie Shely,son Tommy Ray Shely Jr.& also several close relatives.Want to
thank Well Med for the care they give him,also Gentiva Hospice for assistance after his death to
the family.
